Retail Jeweller India Awards, 2014

Posted on Updated on

All that glitters is gold and all that sparkles is diamond. And this is what we got to see at the recent Retail Jeweller India Awards, 2014. The event was one of its kind which saw the industries who’s who present at the night. The red carpet moments, the display of the nominated jewels, the bollywood celebs, the interviews (Woa!! I still sound so excited), almost everything about the night was to be talked about. It was their 10th in a row (CONGRATULATIONS!!!). I could have definitely NOT missed such a great opportunity to witness the night and attending it was extremely worthwhile. I was one of the Blogger Jury for the night. This was the newest category added to the already existing categories.
I made some new designer discoveries, got to see some breath-taking designer pieces and also made lot of new blogger friends. The Retail Jeweller India Awards is said to be the OSCAR‘s for the designer jewellers from all over India. And what better place than Grand Hayatt in Santacruz to showcase such a jewel-studded affair. Fun, excitement, nervousness along with lot of gossips and getting pictures clicked with the fellow bloggers prevailed all night long. Talking about the designer jewellery in display (I actually have NO words to describe their beauty, but have to so…) was just PERFECT (I couldn’t take my eyes off a few pieces). The cuts, the innovative designs, the sparkle and the shine was something that cannot be described here in writing (HATS OFF to their lovely creations).
There were 11 category of jewellery namely Couture Jewellery of the year, Best Accessory of the year, Platinum Jewellery of the year, etc etc. The Blogger Jury was asked to nominate one from each category (it was difficult though but we had to make a choice. Also for me all of them who got nominated was a winner keeping in mind the hard work and research required for the outcome of such fanatic pieces). And definitely later in the night the BEST from the nominated BEST was chosen the winner (I wish all of them much luck and success in life, keep up the good work!).
Awards are always a token of appreciation much needed for the hard work designer put in. Well I guess, I better speak less and let the pictures do the talking :)….
(Also, I was really honoured to be a part of the blogger jury at the Retail Jeweller India Awards)

[…] Hello friends! Diwali, the festival of light has just happen to end but I still seem to be in the festive mode. And why not as Christmas and New years are round the corner. Also I am bit excited and nervous at the same time, as I update my first ever outfit post. I am the most camera-shy person ever, but being a fashion/beauty blogger you really need to experiment a lot with your blog as well as your look. So for my first outfit post, I choose the colour BLACK. As the colour black stands for being ‘classy’ and ‘elegant’ at the the same time and also I believe in ‘minimal chic’, so I kept the whole look really simple, with a minimal makeup and nude lips. Used a MAC nude lip gloss just to add a little shine to my lips. I accessorized the look with my most favourite and priced possession Jimmy Choo ‘Candy-Glitter’ Clutch and a watch. Also I opted for flats in place of heels to keep it comfortable and an on-the-go day and night look (Also seen me wearing the look here) […]
