All that glitters is gold and all that sparkles is diamond. And this is what we got to see at the recent Retail Jeweller India Awards, 2014. The event was one of its kind which saw the industries who’s who present at the night. The red carpet moments, the display of the nominated jewels, the bollywood celebs, the interviews (Woa!! I still sound so excited), almost everything about the night was to be talked about. It was their 10th in a row (CONGRATULATIONS!!!). I could have definitely NOT missed such a great opportunity to witness the night and attending it was extremely worthwhile. I was one of the Blogger Jury for the night. This was the newest category added to the already existing categories.
I made some new designer discoveries, got to see some breath-taking designer pieces and also made lot of new blogger friends. The Retail Jeweller India Awards is said to be the OSCAR‘s for the designer jewellers from all over India. And what better place than Grand Hayatt in Santacruz to showcase such a jewel-studded affair. Fun, excitement, nervousness along with lot of gossips and getting pictures clicked with the fellow bloggers prevailed all night long. Talking about the designer jewellery in display (I actually have NO words to describe their beauty, but have to so…) was just PERFECT (I couldn’t take my eyes off a few pieces). The cuts, the innovative designs, the sparkle and the shine was something that cannot be described here in writing (HATS OFF to their lovely creations).
There were 11 category of jewellery namely Couture Jewellery of the year, Best Accessory of the year, Platinum Jewellery of the year, etc etc. The Blogger Jury was asked to nominate one from each category (it was difficult though but we had to make a choice. Also for me all of them who got nominated was a winner keeping in mind the hard work and research required for the outcome of such fanatic pieces). And definitely later in the night the BEST from the nominated BEST was chosen the winner (I wish all of them much luck and success in life, keep up the good work!).
Awards are always a token of appreciation much needed for the hard work designer put in. Well I guess, I better speak less and let the pictures do the talking :)….
(Also, I was really honoured to be a part of the blogger jury at the Retail Jeweller India Awards)
And of course how can the event be complete without our OSCAR SELFIE 🙂

Thank you Retail Jeweller India Awards for having me!! 🙂
How do I start? Or maybe “Early rise is your first accomplishment of the day.” is the best quote to put it in words, as it was really an early beginning to a stylish day. Palladium is a high on luxury and fashion destination. Launched in 2008 and home to 92 stores, including some of the biggest names in high-end fashion, definitely deserved a grand launch on social media. A mix of fashion, beauty and lifestyle bloggers were invited for the launch of the page on facebook and twitter. The event was one-of-a-kind in its own. Larger than life-size facebook pages were created on-ground with different questions (I personally found the activity very innovative) and the bloggers were asked to curate the page according to the question asked. A few questions like: “Define your personal style in this space.”, “If Palladium were a woman, how would she dress?”, ‘Flirting with Prints’- Put together the best way to add prints to your wardrobe, etc etc. Each one of us was randomly picked and asked to curate the FB post based on the question asked and also our personal style. It was definitely a fun activity. We had products to choose from brands like DKNY, Burberry, CK Jeans, Diesel, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Steve Madden, Tumi, Paul Smith, Bottega Veneta, Kenneth Cole, Paul & Shark, Armani, Canali, Royce, Thomas Pink, Stuart Weitzman, Michael Kors, Zegna, Hugo Boss, etc (WOW! Isn’t it? 😉 ). Also we were asked to live tweet about our personal experience about the event and the activity on twitter using the hashtag #TheMostLuxuriousPage. The launch was a real buzz on social media with agreat activity put together by the Palladium Team and few styling efforts from the bloggers.
Take a look at the high-on fashion event…
Palladium, Lower Parel!
It was a date with Fashion last weekend at one amongst my favourite malls, Inorbit Mall, Malad. A total of 4 Fashion bloggers, me including was selected to explore the fun time along with compiling a look for the season, ie – a monsoon ready look. Also we were asked to tweet about our experience of the same from our respective twitter handles using the hash tag #TipTipBarsaFashion (loved the super innovative hash tag) which was again the fun element as I love tweeting and only need reasons to tweet 😀
We were given a sum of Rs.5000/- to put our monsoon look together. To tell you the fact, I was nervous initially but then I had the best of time Shopping and talking and gossiping. Credits to my co-fashion bloggers and also a special mention to Sudeep and Megha Shirmali (http://shrimalimegha246.blogspot.in/) who made me comfortable throughout and also the best event for me until now. Shopping was never so much fun without them. So coming back to the event now, we had to shop from brands like Vero Moda, Only, AND, Charles & Keith, Chemistry, Elle, Provogue, Jashn, Biba…..too many to name, just imagine how difficult it was for us to shop then, that too in a time span of one and a half hour. Difficult it was *Phew*, but we did it after all I have had a good and helping company along. After a lot of running from shop to shop, the look was finally ready. Sigh. A lot of #Selfies were clicked once we were ready of which a few are below –
I shopped my complete look from Only. The staff there was way too helpful and co-operative too. Once we completed shopping and pulled our look together the next stop was Clinique. The dermatologist named Reshma explained us the little details and daily skin care routines for our skin, which was most required as we being Fashion Bloggers need it the most and also working (atleast me) come in contact with the sun just everyday.
Also in the end we asked the dermatologist a lot of queries related to our skin individually. Not to forget we also received a goody bag and free samples for use from Clinique.
To sum it up, I had the best time ever shopping, talking, dressing up, meeting new blogger friends, clicking pictures, interviewing (where I was way too nervous to face the camera but I did) etc etc. Take a look…

Recently ‘Bebe India’ hosted the Tropic Rendezvous Event‘, at the Bebe Store, Bandra, that celebrated the unveiling of Bebe’s Summer Collection’14, with it’s Tropic Rendezvous themed collection. It was in held association with fashion & lifestyle blog ‘Feisty Fox Diaries’ by Stephanie Timmins.
The inspiration behind Bebe’s Tropic Rendezvous Collection is the true summer time spent by the Bebe girl in a Tropical paradise. Filled with lush colors, sensual fabrics and alluring silhouettes, the collection takes the brand’s signature ‘sex appeal’ on an island bound adventure. Their exclusive prints include palm trees, sunsets, tropical blooms, butterflies, to bird wings, paired with vibrant colours & neon hues.
The key tropic rendezvous pieces include crop tops, maxi dresses, midi skirts, soft “jogger-style” pants, jumpsuits and bodycons. Cut-outs, peplums, high-waists & high-low hemlines are featured throughout, as are plunging necklines and opulent embellishments. There is just the right balance of solid colours and prints.
The collection’s key colours are ‘Bold’ offering smoking pinks, hibiscus and palace blue, purples, orange and black. Vibrant yellows, parakeet, lime green, blue curacao and lemon zest in neon shades accent the colour pallet; all reminiscent of the tropical environment.
For summer 2014, Bebe’s standout accessories include pop-colour handbags, tribal inspired and oversized chain necklaces, statement cuffs and wide belts. Sexy, strappy sandals, lace-up booties and platform heels with chic treatments and hardware rounds out the collection and completes the Tropical summer look.
All in all, the collection is made to make you want to run away to the beaches, sip on coconut water, wear flower hair-wreaths and jump into the mysterious ocean but yes, all in style.
It was an chic evening of Fashion, Fun & Glamour with a stellar entourage of fashionistas, prominent fashion bloggers, models, women entrepreneurs, both television & bollywood actresses and the media in attendance, hosted & anchored by the gorgeous Stephanie Timmins of Feisty Fox Diaries. It was a fun interactive evening for all the wonderful ladies, we had a ‘Bebe Style My Look’ contest, fun Photo-booth with tropical themed props, fabulous wine by ‘Grover Zampa’ & light bites, hip music, the most adorable bebe logo cupcakes, of course lots of shopping with guests enjoying a flat 25% discount on bebe merchandise and everyone went home with a Bebe goodie bag.
The decor was also added a lovely tropical vibe, with parrots, coloured feathers, palm leaves and lots of flowers. All the guests were welcomed with an assistant putting a pink flower in their hair, to set them in the tropical mood on arrival to the venue.
A bunch of enthusiastic fashionistas and fashion bloggers participated in the ‘Bebe Style My Look’ Contest. They were made to choose coloured chits which has different occasions mentioned, they had 20 minutes to style themselves or their friends from the new Bebe Tropic Rendezvous Collection. The occasions included beach look, yacht party, resort chic, trip to miami, clubbing, date night, red carpet & a few more. They also were asked to sashay down the pink carpet in their bebe ensemble and to describe the inspiration behind their look.
Also present at the event were Bollywood Actress Maryam Zakaria and Television Star Ragini Khanna, both were styled in sexy, bright Bebe dresses from the new tropic rendezvous collection and looked absolutely stunning.
All the participants really looked like they were all set for an island bound vacation in sexy vibrant Bebe ensembles as they sashayed down the pink carpet and posed for the shutterbugs.
